At Nucore Group, we take pride in holding our Core Values in high regard with the values of People, Integrity, Safety and Sustainability being central to our daily activities and decisions.
Our first value, ‘People’ is of particular importance. We have a lot of great people working in Nucore and it is them that help us maintain very high standards of delivery and customer excellence. The time and effort spend in the training and development of our employees plays a key role in this company value.
As we move from Q1 into Q2, we would like to celebrate the mixture of new hires, promotions and achievements across our workforce as we further strengthen the organisation on the back of new contract and project wins, domestic UK and international.
In the Fire and Security department we were delighted to welcome two Apprentice Fire & Security Engineers, a further two Fire & Security Engineers plus an extension to our F&S Administration team.
In the Manufacturing Department, we internally promoted two employees to the position of Team Lead – one Mechanical and one Electrical. In addition, we have a new hire Refrigeration Engineer.
In the Climate Control & Ventilation Offshore department, we have had two new starts, who joined the Group in January to work on rotation on North Sea Platforms.
The Finance department has seen a number of changes with two employees receiving promotions to that of Management Accountant and Group Accountant and another employee continuing her role as Accounts Payable Assistant with the team for the next 6 months.
We also said congratulations to one of our employees for being one of the finalists of the ‘Rising Star’ category for the Northern Star Business Awards, also receiving an internal promotion to Group Finance Manager!
Further new starts included a payroll administrator who will be taking on payroll responsibilities and will be working to streamline payroll process and identify efficiencies.
We are delighted to welcome a new Estimating & Proposals Specialist to the team, who will be working closely with Department Heads on key upcoming proposals, bringing expertise and experience to help the technical experts deliver consistent, high quality proposals.
Various employees also took part in exams and passed the AAT - Elements of Costing exam and Managing People during COVID -19 Pandemic.
We have a few individuals joining our expanding team and in the coming weeks we will be welcoming a new Graduate HR Administrator, Business Development Manager focusing on the Fire & Safety side of the business and a new Project Engineer to assist with fire protection and detection systems scopes.
It is great to see new faces coming into the business as well as the internal promotions. The changes mentioned above will help ensure Nucore Group is well-placed to meet the current and anticipated future increase in our workload. All the employees mentioned above have been extremely deserving of these awards, promotions, or development but also, each person within Nucore Group has shown their own dedication and commitment to the company. This does not go unnoticed, and the daily dedication shown by our employees is very much appreciated and is at the core of what drives our company forward into Q2 of 2021.
